Poaching has been defined as the illegal hunting or capturing of wild animals, usually associated with land use rights. Due to poaching, many countries wildlife have been drastically reduced or even have become extinct. This is due to high poaching numbers and destruction of the environment by humans. A drastic 20 million animals are killed every year! Poaching also effects planet earth by reducing its biodiversity. Hunters kill animals that have large population, and this can cause those animals to die out due to the lack of food
What are your ideas/solutions to stop this crime?
Poaching is also a result of man's narcissism and insensitivity. Where there is demand, supply chain is created at a very great cost to sentient beings.
Campaigns that encourage people to change their perception of fashion, luxury, thereby leading to avoiding wearing animal skins, flaunting high end luxury goods that are made by killing of exotic species is also a way forward towards reducing the poaching menace.
