Our country India as you know is a very diverse country. It displays significant biodiversity. India is home to several well-known large animals, including the Indian elephant, Indian rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, Asiatic lion, Indian leopard, snow leopard, cloud leopard, and many more. The biodiversity of India is quite an interesting one. it is home to 7.6% of all mammals, 12.6% of all avians, 6.2% of all reptilians, 4.4% of all amphibians, 11.7% of all fish ( According to Wikipedia). Now, it is important that we conserve our wildlife, because if we do not then it can cause an ecological imbalance that can eventually affect the world as a whole. Due to deforestation, global warming and other human activity wild animals are losing their habitats and are at risk of becoming extinct. In almost all cases, the threats to wildlife can be traced to human activities. Today, with the population explosion, more and more land is being cleared for agriculture, habitation, and other developmental projects. Habitat destruction is the main cause of wildlife extinction in India. Every country, like India, is unique for its biodiversity, so it is only in our hands and responsibility to conserve protect and save these animals from being extinct. Your smallest contribution, whether it is to donate, to adopt, to rescue, or even spread awareness it can create the largest impact and might as well help our earth and its wildlife.
