Pollutants are dumped into the ocean every single day. This waste affects the daily life of fish and other marine creatures. Marine animals such as fish, seabirds, sea turtles, and marine mammals can become entangled in or ingest plastic debris and other waste, causing suffocation, starvation, drowning and even death. Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed by pollution every year. Such unfortunate problems can cause animal extinction. Thousands of animals are being endangered because of pollution as we speak. Hence what are some responsible actions we can take to make a difference?
